𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗲: Burt Reynolds stars as the fun-lovin’ and trash-talkin’ Bo “ Bandit” Darville – a truck driver who agrees to pick up a payload of Coors and drive them to Texas (which was illegal to to sell east of the Mississippi without a permit). He soon runs into trouble after picking up an attractive hitchhiker (Sally Field) with an overzealous Sheriff (Jackie Gleason) on her tail. SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT is a revved up B-movie at its core – featuring impressive car chases and an iconic theme song to boot.
